SpVgg Greuther Fürth is transferring Reno Münz to Belgian club KVC Westerlo a year before his contract expires. The 20-year-old German U20 national team player signed a contract with Westerlo until June 30, 2030.

What happened?

The defender joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth from Bayer Leverkusen's youth team two years ago and established himself as a regular starter in the previous season. Westerlo is paying 1.5 million euros for his services, more than Eintracht Frankfurt paid for Noel Futkeu.

The transfer means SpVgg Greuther Fürth will receive 1.5 million euros, bringing the total transfer income to 2.8 million euros. Sports director Daniel Meyer explained: „Reno is a young defender who has attracted interest. He expressed his desire to leave, and we conducted the necessary talks.“
